  1. Refutations.

It tries to show that the counterargument is weak or incorrect.

Common words: on the contrary, however, but in fact.

Some people believe that technology is making us more isolated. On the contrary, technology has enabled us to stay connected with friends and family through social media, video calls, and instant messaging, fostering more frequent and meaningful interactions.

Many experts argue that strict regulations hinder economic growth. However, strict regulations can actually stimulate innovation by encouraging businesses to develop new technologies and processes that comply with environmental and safety standards, ultimately leading to sustainable growth.

The common belief is that homeschooling limits socialization opportunities. But in fact, homeschooled children often engage in a variety of extracurricular activities, community groups, and cooperative learning environments, which provide ample opportunities for social interaction and development.

Some critics claim that renewable energy sources are too expensive. In reality, the cost of renewable energy has been decreasing rapidly, and when considering the long-term savings and environmental benefits, renewable energy often proves to be more cost-effective than traditional fossil fuels.

Some educators believed that intelligence was solely determined by genetics. In fact, research has shown that intelligence is influenced by a combination of genetic factors and environmental conditions, including education, socioeconomic status, and access to resources, highlighting the importance of a supportive learning environment.
